Langwarrin Community Centre

Leading a team of five, we partnered with the Langwarrin Community Centre to redesign and improve their existing website, focusing on accessibility and user experience. This involved close collaboration to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

The development process spanned the full software development lifecycle. Initially scoped for MongoDB, we transitioned to Strapi (CMS) and PostgreSQL after client consultation, better aligning with their content management and scalability needs. This required adapting our architecture and data models. We leveraged React.js for a dynamic front-end, implementing RESTful APIs for seamless Strapi back-end integration.

The resulting web application provides the Langwarrin Community Centre with a modern and effective online presence, empowering them to connect with their community and share information. This project honed our full-stack development skills, including front-end/back-end development, API design, database management, and teamwork using Git and Jira.
